Vigil tells the story of a crew member who mysteriously dies onboard the HMS Vigil. This is a submarine that’s responsible for providing a so-called nuclear deterrent.

Nevertheless, a BBC spokesperson stated Vigil is “a fictional drama and is not inspired by or based on any specific real-life event.”
